The University of Tulsa Athletic Training Department shall provide the athletes of The University of Tulsa with the highest quality health care system that our resources will allow. We will strive to continue to stay on the cutting edge of knowledge and implement the most aggressive, yet safe approaches to athlete health care.
The University of Tulsa Athletic Training Department delivers traditional athletic training services to the student-athletes of The University of Tulsa. The services provided to the student-athlete can be divided into four areas: Injury prevention, Injury management, Rehabilitation of injuries, and education on healthy living (lifestyles). In providing these services, the Certified Athletic Trainers of TU will strive to utilize the most efficient, proven and current technologies, as well as the best equipment, at their disposal. In order to provide such a high standard of health care, the Certified Athletic Trainers will strive to attend Continuous Education Unit courses regularly and stay abreast of current trends in health care.
The goal of the Athletic Training Department is to provide the student-athletes with the best possible environment for optimal health care. Our primary focus is to provide the student-athletes with a health care system that is proactive in the way we approach the needs of the student-athlete.
The University of Tulsa Athletic Training Department strives to be a program of recognized excellence in both health care and education. It is our intention to support the program with human and financial resources necessary to accomplish the stated goals of the program.
