Irving, Texas - The University of Tulsa has been awarded with the most Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medals, as announced today by the league office.

In the 12-team conference, Tulsa student-athletes garnered 47 academic medal winners to lead the league. A total of 321 student-athletes from around Conference USA were awarded academic medals. For Tulsa, women's rowing and track & field led the way with 13 and 11 medal recipients, respectively.

The medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.

Memphis followed Tulsa with 36, and East Carolina had 34. The total number of academic medal recipients increased by more than 30 percent this season.

The Hurricane also had 168 student-athletes named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, which includes student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
