TU STUDENT-ATHLETES PARTICIPATE IN ANNUAL GOLDEN HURRICANE CLUB THANK-A-THON
April 26, 2013
Tulsa, Oklahoma -
University of Tulsa student-athletes recently completed the Golden Hurricane Club’s Thank-A-Thon by personally calling more than 1,400 Golden Hurricane Club members to thank them for their support. More than 115 TU student-athletes from all 18 athletic teams participated in the month-long event. The annual event provides an opportunity for TU student-athletes to interact with the fans who cheer them on throughout the year. In addition, it also gives Golden Hurricane Club members a chance to speak with the student-athletes their contributions directly support.
"The Thank-A-Thon is always a fun opportunity to interact with our supporters and simply let them know we appreciate all that they do,” said Bradi Hinch, a women’s soccer student-athlete. “Golden Hurricane Club members allow me to pursue a quality education all while playing the sport I love, so a ‘thank you’ phone call is the least I could do. My teammates and I always look forward to this event!”
The Golden Hurricane Club remains the athletic department’s single-largest source of funding, and every gift, regardless of the amount, is crucial to the continued success of TU Athletics. All 2013-14 Golden Hurricane Club membership renewals are due by June 30, 2013.
