Tulsa, Oklahoma - The NCAA Tennis Championships continued on Thursday with the round of 32 for both singles and doubles at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of The University of Tulsa.

Tulsa's Arnau Brugues moved into the round of 16 for the third consecutive season, as he claimed his second straight set victory with an upset over No. 5 seed Daniel Vallverdu of Miami (Fla.), 6-4, 6-4.

The No. 1, 3 and 4 seeds advanced in the men's bracket, including No.1 seeded and defending national champion Somdev Devvarman of Virginia, No. 3 Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Oklahoma State and No. 4 Travis Helgeson of Georgia.

On the women's side, the biggest upset came when Baylor's Lenka Broosova defeated No. 3 seed Hilary Barte of Stanford, 6-3, 6-2. No. 1 seed Aurelija Miseviciute advanced with a 6-1, 7-5 win, as did No. 2 seed Ani Mijacika with a 6-0, 6-3 victory over VCU's Tatsiana Uvarova.

The top-4 seeds in doubles for both the men and women advanced to the round of 16 on Friday.

The sixteen players for both men and women advancing to the round of 16 in singles have garnered All-America accolades.

Singles in the round of 16 will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, and doubles competition will follow at 2:00 pm.
