TulsaHurricane.com Mobile Version Now Available
July 28, 2008
Tulsa, Oklahoma - The smartphone-friendly version of Tulsahurricane.com with essentially all headline content (recaps and release) and some associated content (box scores and bios of student-athletes) is now available. Because of the dynamic nature of the schedule pages, we are not yet able to provide this content in a smartphone-friendly fashion.
With the rapid increase in the use of smartphones it was time to effectively provide the content on Tulsahurricane.com to our fans and supporters using these devices," said Tulsa Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham. "CBS College Sports and The University of Tulsa athletics continue to work together to extend the reach of Tulsahurricane.com. We anticipate that our fans will enjoy this new feature."
How This Works
When a user visits Tulsahurricane.com from their mobile phone (the front page or any sport page), an auto-detect script will determine what version of the site the user should receive. If a user is coming to Tulsahurricane.com via a fully enabled web browser, the mobile device will deliver the fully-enabled version of Tulsahurricane.com. If the user is not using a fully-enabled web browser on their mobile device, then the device will deliver a smartphone-friendly version of Tulsahurricane.com.
