TU STUDENT-ATHLETES PARTICIPATE IN LIFT UP AMERICA PROGRAM

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa student-athletes participated in the Lift Up America program on Monday night. Lift Up America and Tyson Foods donated more than the 30,000 pounds of protein to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma in conjunction with the Tyson "KNOW Hunger" campaign.

The TU student-athletes loaded boxes of the food into various vehicles from the different outreach groups in the Eastern Oklahoma area.

In addition, the TU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be collecting canned food donations during the week of October 8 - 12 as part of Conference USA's Let's SAAC Hunger program In support of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, non-perishable, canned foods may be dropped off at all home athletic competitions throughout the week. TU students, alumni and friends are encouraged to participate.
