Chris Anderson was named the Faculty Athletics Representative at the University of Tulsa in 2008. He is an associate professor of Spanish and Comparative Literature and serves as the Chair of the Department of Languages at TU.
Anderson was first appointed as an assistant professor in 1990, and was promoted to an associate professor in 1996.
He has written several publications about Spanish literature including Vicente Blasco Ibáñez: An Annotated Bibliography. Anderson has also won several awards including the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Faculty Member of the Year in 2001 and the Certificate of Excellence As Chair (2001-04) in the Department of Languages in 2004.
Anderson received his bachelor's degree in Spanish from Valparaiso University, and received his master's degree and Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from Indiana University.
