Was a three-year starter on the offensive line (1973, `75, and `76). He redshirted in 1974 after suffering a knee injury. Was a first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and earned third-team All-America honors by the Associated Press in 1976. As a senior, Tulsa led the MVC in total offense with 336.0 yards per game. Played in the East-West Shrine Game and Senior Bowl. Was a first round draft choice by the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent most of his pro career. Completed his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
