Recognized as one of the great defensive ends in Golden Hurricane history. An outstanding pass rusher and tackler, he totaled 336 career tackles and set the school's career record for tackles for lost yardage with 40 stops for -239 yards. Was a three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and received the league's Defensive Player of the Year award in 1980. Had 114 tackles and 10 stops for -45 yards as a senior. Earned second-team All-America honors by the Associated Press in 1978 and 1980. Played professionally with the New England Patriots.
