Barry Boyd Position: Head Athletic Equipment Manager

Barry Boyd is in his first year as head athletic equipment manager at The University of Tulsa. He was appointed to his present position in February 2006.

Before coming to Tulsa, Boyd spent one year as an assistant director of equipment operations at the United States Naval Academy. He handled the sports of basketball, track & field, cross country, swimming & diving, squash and football.

Previously, he was an assistant equipment manager at UCLA for one year and before that was an intern at Navy for one season.

In the summers of 2001 and 2002, he worked as an equipment intern with the New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers, respectively.

Boyd is a 2003 graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology and served as a student equipment manager for four years.
