Director of Strength & Conditioning

Rohrk Cutchlow serves as The University of Tulsa's director of strength & conditioning, a position he has held since January 2011. In addition to overseeing the strength and conditioning area, his main sport responsibility is football.

Before coming to Tulsa, Cutchlow spent the previous eight years at Illinois State University. He served as assistant athletics director for sports performance the final four years, and before that had the title of strength & conditioning coordinator for the Redbirds in his first four seasons.

In 2006, Cutchlow was one of five finalists for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) College Strength Coach of the Year Award. Upon his arrival at ISU in 2003, Cutchlow assisted in the design of the Owen Strength and Conditioning Center in Illinois State's Redbird Arena.

Prior to Illinois State, Cutchlow was the head strength & conditioning coach for Olympic sports at Iowa State, where he was in charge of 16 sports, including men's basketball. While at Iowa State, Cutchlow earned a master's degree in education in 2001. He also worked with professional baseball players for the Iowa Cubs for two seasons.

A native of Littleport, Iowa, Cutchlow has National Strength and Conditioning Association certification. He also has club coach certification through USA weightlifting and is a member of the Black Coaches Association. A 1999 graduate of the University of Memphis, he was a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter for the Tiger baseball team.
