Class of 1996 Half of Tulsa's "Palomino Express" he went on to become the school's career rushing leader with 3,547 yards, averaging 6.2 yards per carry. Rushed for 100 yards or more 17 times and totaled 32 career touchdowns. As a junior, he and teammate Ken Lacy comprised one of only two college backfield combinations to each rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season. Gained a school single-season record 1,464 yards and led the nation with an average of 7.5 yards per carry in 1982. Had a career best 240 yards on 16 carries against Air Force in 1982. Earned first team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors both as a junior and senior. Was named the MVC's Offensive Player of the Year in 1983. |
