Class of 1993

An outstanding defensive back who started every game in his three-year career. Was voted team captain his senior year, and led Tulsa to the 1952 Gator Bowl. During his career, Tulsa’s record was 26-5-2 with two Missouri Valley Conference Championships. Was selected to the 1950’s All-Oklahoman All-Decade team. Went on to a coaching career at Brigham Young and UTEP on the college level, and later served as head coach for the NFL’s Detroit Lions and the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
