Championship Caliber
The Golden Hurricane Club, as the primary fundraising arm of TU Athletics, works to provide every TU student-athlete with the opportunity to realize a world-class athletic and academic experience.


Class of 2005 Was a three-time all-Missouri Valley Conference performer. Earned first-team MVC honors in 1973 and 1974, while receiving second-team merits as a sophomore in 1972. Was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior and earned honorable mention All-America accolades. As a sophomore was named the Conference Player of the Week for his role in a 28-26 upset of Louisville when he had 15 tackles and recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Had three interceptions in 1972 to lead the team. Named runner-up for MVC Sophomore of the Year honors in 1972. Was drafted in the eighth round of the 1975 NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. |
