A world-class golfer, she won 11 of 19 tournaments in her two seasons playing for the Golden Hurricane. Won six tournaments as a freshman including the AIAW National Championship. Led Tulsa to runner-up finishes at the AIAW National Tournament as a freshman and sophomore. Tied for second at the U.S. Women's Open Championship in 1975. Was a first-team All-America selection in 1976 and `77. As a rookie on the LPGA Tour, she won five consecutive tournaments and was selected as the 1978 LPGA Player of the Year. Won over 30 LPGA titles during her career, and was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1989.
