Class of 1995 A long hitter and accurate iron player for the Golden Hurricane, he captained the Tulsa golf team in 1948, `49, and '50. Led Tulsa to a second place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference in 1949. Won 33 matches in his career, including wins over Don January and Bo Winninger of Oklahoma A&M, and NCAA champion Jack Vickers of Oklahoma. Continued his golf career after college by winning the city championship six times. Was a three-time city Four-Ball champion, and two-time winner and four-time runner-up at the Oklahoma State Senior Championship. Served as coach of the TU golf program from 1973-75. |
