Golden Hurricane Club Student-Athlete Spotlight

Carly Boatwright
Hometown: Parker, Colorado
Degree: Communications
Graduation Year: 2015

1.) What does it mean to you to be a TU student-athlete?

Being a student-athlete means working hard for my future goals both on and off the court surrounded by an amazing group of coaches, trainers, teammates, and supporters.

2.) How have you benefited from the support shown by TU fans and members of the Golden Hurricane Club?

The support from TU fans and the GHC has benefitted me by showing me that I have a bigger role on this campus than just a volleyball player.  The support I get from the GHC and fans allows me to reach farther than just my goals on the court to my goals in the classroom, on campus, and in the future.

3.) To date, what is your most memorable moment as a Golden Hurricane student-athlete?

My most memorable moment as a Golden Hurricane student-athlete was beating OU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament my freshman year.

4.) What was the deciding factor in making TU your college choice?

I decided on TU because of their strong academics, small size, and beautiful campus.

5.) What are you studying, and more specifically, what are your plans after graduating from TU?

I am studying Communications.  I am not sure what my plans are after graduation.

6.) After graduation, what is one thing that you will miss most about TU?

After graduation I will miss all my wonderful teammates and supporters from TU.
