Explanation of Benefits:
Charitable Tax Deduction
All gifts to the Golden Hurricane Club are tax deductible as allowed by federal income tax law minus the value of benefits received. The IRS allows an 80 percent charitable deduction for a contribution to an educational institution where, as a result of such contribution, the donor receives preferred seating rights for an athletic event. Donors should consult their tax advisor in regard to all tax deductions resulting from charitable contributions.
Recognition in Athletic Publications
All Golden Hurricane Club members are recognized by their membership level in the football game-day program provided the contribution is received prior to August 16, 2010.
GHC Member Auto Decal
All Golden Hurricane Club members receive an auto decal to display. For additional decals, please contact the Golden Hurricane Club office at (918) 631-2342.
Season Ticket Pass
Come out and cheer on your Golden Hurricane! The Season Ticket Pass allows Blue & Gold
level members and above complimentary general admission for four (4) to all regular-season home games in the sports of men's and women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, softball, men's and women's tennis and track & field.
Discount on merchandise at TU Bookstore
All Golden Hurricane Club members receive a 20% discount on apparel and merchandise (excluding textbooks) at the TU Bookstore located in the Allen Chapman Activity Center. To receive this discount, please show your GHC membership card upon checkout.
GHC Lapel Pin and Membership Card
All Golden Hurricane Club members receive an official Golden Hurricane Club membership card and lapel pin.
Priority Points
All Golden Hurricane Club members will receive priority points for their contributions. For more information regarding the Priority Point System, click here.
Monthly Newsletter and E-mail Updates
All Golden Hurricane Club members will receive The Hurricane Report. This monthly e-newsletter contains information regarding TU Athletic events, scores and highlights, profiles on current TU student-athletes and coaches, information on your Golden Hurricane Club membership, and much more. To receive this benefit, please make sure the Golden Hurricane Club office has your e-mail address.
Parking Pass
Eligible members of the Golden Hurricane Club (Varsity level and above) will receive a parking pass that can be utilized throughout the membership year (August through April) for all home football and men's basketball games. For a detailed parking map, please click here.
Reserved Parking Space
Eligible members of the Golden Hurricane Club (Hall of Fame, Platinum, and The 1930 Society members) will have a designated reserved parking space that will be identified with the donor's name.
Pre-game Meal Credits
Eligible members of the Golden Hurricane Club (Blue & Gold level and above) receive pre-game meal credits that can be utilized at any of the pre-game meals before football and basketball games. For additional information regarding pre-game meals, please click here.
Tickets
Golden Hurricane Club members at the Athletic Director's Circle level and higher are eligible to receive complimentary season tickets to football and/or men's basketball. For additional details, please see the Membership Levels and Benefits Structure.
GHC Premium Logo Item
Golden Hurricane Club members contributing at the All-American level or above are eligible to receive a Golden Hurricane Club Premium Logo Item. To view merchandise options and order forms, click here. Items will be determined by Athletic Department and Golden Hurricane Club staff.
Team Travel
Golden Hurricane Club members contributing at the Hall of Fame level or above are eligible to join the football travel party to one away game per season. Based upon availability.
VIP Table at All Sports Awards Dinner
Members of The 1930 Society will receive a VIP Table at the Golden Cane Awards All Sports Dinner held annually in the spring.
TU President's Council
Golden Hurricane Club members contributing at the Champion level or higher are members of the TU President's Council. The President's Council recognizes donors to The University of Tulsa who contribute $1,500 or more annually to the university. Members of the President's Council receive special invitations to university events throughout the year.
TU Calendar & Annual Report
Golden Hurricane Club members contributing at the Champion level and higher receive the official 2010-11 TU Athletics Calendar & Annual Report, which highlights the achievements of our student-athletes and sports programs over the past year.
