Lafayette, La. - The Tulsa men's golf team will play its third spring tournament in less than a month when the Hurricane tee-off Monday morning at the 27th Annual Louisiana Classics. The 54-hole, two-day tournament will be played at the par-72 Oakbourne Country Club course. Two rounds will be played on Monday and the tournament will conclude Tuesday with one round of 18 holes

The 27th Annual Louisiana Classics Field includes Houston, No. 27 Illinois, Kansas, No, 21 Kent State, No. 25 LSU, No. 43 Memphis, N.C. State, No. 45 SMU, South Alabama, Southeastern La., Southern Miss, Texas State, Tulsa and UTSA.

A year ago, the Hurricane placed seventh in the 15-team field at the Louisiana Classics as Illinois won the event. At last year's tournament, Tulsa's Arie Fauzi placed seventh overall, while teammate Chris Worrell finished in 12th place.

Tulsa is coming off of a 10th place performance at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational last week. Junior Mark Mumford finished with a team-best performance of 22nd place, while freshman Matt Mabrey and senior Andre' Tourinho were only one stroke back of Mumford for 27th place.
