Mission Statement

The purpose of The University of Tulsa Letterman's Association shall be to act at all times consistent with the policies and procedures of The University of Tulsa and its Board of Trustees and thereby to act in accordance with NCAA rules to:

• Provide opportunities for alumni athletes to continue their relationship with The University of Tulsa, its athletic programs, and other alumni athletes. Also, provide opportunities for alumni athletes to show appreciation to The University of Tulsa for their educational and athletic experiences.

• Promote loyalty through growth in the membership of The University of Tulsa Letterman's Association in such manner as to encourage and solicit participation of all alumni athletes.

Golden Ring Club Qualifications & Requirements

    Golden Ring Club
    1. You must have lettered while attending The University of Tulsa.
    2. You must receive your degree from The University of Tulsa.
    3. You must be a current dues paying member of our organization.

Brief History & Additional Information:

• Initial organization date: 1955. The Lettermen's Association, as it exists today, was reorganized and began operations in the early 1960's.

• Date and state of Incorporation: September 30, 1991, State of Oklahoma.

• Effective January 1, 2000, The University of Tulsa Lettermen's Association merged with and became part of The University of Tulsa.

• Total number of former athletes in our data base: Approximately 3,400.

• Total current mailing addresses: Approximately 1,900.

• Annual membership dues: $50.00

• Lifetime membership dues: $500.00.

• Total active current dues paying members: Approximately 600 (including over 290 Lifetime Members.)

• Annual Budget: $70,000.

• Projected direct annual support to TU Athletics and our student athletes: $30,000. (A significant portion of our current income is being earmarked toward a Lettermen's Association Endowment Fund for the future benefit of TU Athletics and our student-athletes.)

• Number of directors: 21 board members.

• Monthly board meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month except November and December which are the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

• Annual Meeting: The 4th Wednesday of May.

• Officers include: President, Vice-presidents, Treasurer, Secretary and President-Elect.

• Each year we sponsor three major events:

• April - All-Sports Banquet, held in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

• Fall - Lettermen's Association Golf Tournament, Friday before Homecoming weekend.

• December - Membership Drive.
