Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Tryouts for the 2013-14 Golden Hurricane Spirit Squads set for Feb. 22-23

Auditions for the 2013-14 University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane Coed Cheer and Pom Squads will take place Friday-Saturday, February 22-23 on the TU campus.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Auditions for the 2013-14 University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane Coed Cheer and Pom Squads will take place Friday-Saturday, February 22-23 on the TU campus.

No prior registration is needed for the audition, but interested candidates are encouraged to contact Amanda Snider at 918.631.3450 or email at Amanda-snider@utulsa.edu for more details or go online at TulsaHurricane.com. From there, go to Inside Athletics at the top of the page, click on Spirit Squads, go to Quick Links and click on Tryout Application.

Auditions will take place on the TU campus in the Mabee Gymnasium's Spirit Room beginning with registration at 3:30 pm on Friday, Feb. 22. A teaching clinic will take place from 4-9 pm Friday. On Saturday, rehearsal begins at 9:30 am with auditions starting at 10 am.

Hurricane Spirit Squads cheer at TU football and basketball games in addition to other TU sporting events, as well as performing at various community functions.
