Hurricane Spirit Clinic Set for TU Football Spring Game

Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Second Annual Hurricane Spring Spirit Clinic set for April 6th at halftime of the Tulsa Spring Football Game.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa Spirit Squad will conduct the Second Annual Hurricane Spring Spirit Clinic in conjunction with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 6. The spirit clinic will include cheer and pom instruction and is open to children ages Kindergarten through the 6th grade.

The clinic will be held in the Mabee Gymnasium Indoor Football Field on the campus of The University of Tulsa, and will conclude with a Spring Game halftime performance at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

The two-hour clinic will involve instruction from the TU cheer and pom teams on proper techniques, motions, jumps cheer and dance.

Registration begins at 9:30 am, and the Clinic runs from 10 am-12 noon. Clinic participants will perform at intermission of the Spring Game, which begins at 1 pm.

Cost of the clinic is $35 per participant and also includes a T-shirt, group photo and CD with performance music. Clinic space is limited. Deadline to RSVP is Wednesday, March 27, 2013. To register, contact Amanda Snider at Amanda-snider@utulsa.edu or call at 918-631-3450
