TU Kicks Off Outdoor Campaign With Tulsa Duels

Throwing events begin at 9 a.m., running events start at 1 p.m. at Hurricane Track Stadium

Prior to TU: Was the 1,500m champ for New Zealand Secondary School as a senior . . . represented New Zealand in the 1,500m at the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Youth Championships that were held in Italy in 2009 . . . posted career bests times of 1:54 in the 800m, 3:53 in the 1,500m and 8:33 in the 3,000m.

Personal: Majoring in accounting . . . starting running at age 14 . . . son of Ross and Judi Barrett . . . has one sibling, Pippa . . . born February 17, 1992.
