Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

2011-12: (Indoor) Competed at five meets . . . season-best shot put of 12.42m (40-09.00) was good for sixth at the J.D. Martin Invitational and fourth in school history . . . tossed the fourth-best weight throw in school history of 12.70m (41-08.00) to finish 40th at the Meyo Invitational . . . finished 18th at the Conference USA Championship in the shot put with a mark of 11.84m (38-10.25) . . . placed 22nd at the league meet in the weight throw with a toss of 12.68m (41-07.25) . . . (Outdoor) Saw action in eight meets . . . finished 18th at the C-USA Championship in the shot put (10.66m, 34-11.75) and 19th in the hammer throw (36.32m, 119-02) . . . won the discus at the Dean Pryor Invitational (46.60m, 152-10.64) and the Track-It Buster Invitational (46.37m, 152-01) . . . season-best discus of 47.61m (156-02) at the John Jacobs Invitational was second in school history . . . recorded the fourth-best hammer (41.58m, 136-05) and shot put (11.86m, 38-10.92) in school history.
High School: Lettered all four years in track and field at Laverne High School . . . won seven Class A Oklahoma state championships in her career . . . captured four state titles in discus and won three state championships in shot put (finished runner-up senior year) . . . won the discus junior year at the Oklahoma Meet of Champions . . . also lettered all four years in softball and basketball . . . high school coach was Jeremy Bockelman.
