Alexandra "Alex" Darling is in her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the cross country and track & field programs at The University of Tulsa.

She came to Tulsa following her collegiate career at the University of New Mexico (UNM), where she competed in cross country and track & field from 2008-2011.

During her collegiate career, Darling was a member of the 2010 Mountain West Conference Championship Cross Country team. She earned all-MW Conference Team honors in the 3,000 Steeplechase and 1,500 meters and was an NCAA qualifier in the 3k Steeplechase and 1,500 Meters in 2011. Darling was a Mountain West Conference Academic award recipient for three years.

Darling earned her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2011, graduating with a 3.65 grade point average.

Darling has coached high school cross country and track & field at her alma mater, La Cueva High School, and also possesses her ACE Certification in Personal Training.
