Assistant Coach - Track/Cross Country

Jim Garnham is in his third season as an assistant coach at Tulsa. He serves as the field events coach as well as the multi-events coach.

In his two season at Tulsa he has coached one NCAA qualifier (Stephanie Jeffers, 16th place in the shot put in 2007), two C-USA Champions, nine NCAA Midwest Regional qualifiers, 13 All-Conference performers and 16 school records.

Prior to Tulsa, Garnham served five years as an assistant track and field coach at The University at Buffalo. At Buffalo, Garnham's coaching responsibilities included the multi-event athletes, the javelin throwers and the hurdlers. He helped coach a USATF Indoor heptathlon qualifier, a Canadian Olympic Trails qualifier in the women's heptathlon, two NCAA qualifiers, four NCAA East Regional qualifiers, five Mid-American Conference Champions and 14 school records.

In 1998, Garnham earned his bachelors degree in history from Kent Stat University in Kent, Ohio and the following year graduated from D'Youville College in Buffalo, N.Y. with his masters degree in secondary education.
