Taylor competed for The University of Tulsa for two years and is entering his second season as a student-assistant coach.

2008-09: Redshirted.

High School: A six-time letterwinner in track and cross country at Broken Arrow High School . . . was named academic all-conference as a senior. . . cross country team finished fourth in the state during his senior year . . . notched a personal-best time of 10:36 in the 3,200m at the Muskogee Invite as a senior . . . ran the 5K course at the Missouri Southern in 17:24 during his senior year . . . as a junior, ran a personal-best in the 800m with a time of 2:11 at the Jenks Invitational . . . set a personal record in the 1,600m with a time of 4:51 at the Muskogee Invite during his junior season.

Personal: A business major . . . enjoys soccer . . . craziest ambition is to make the Olympic Trials in the marathon . . . sports inspiration is his father, TU Head Coach Steve Gulley . . . mother is Kathy Gulley . . . has a younger brother, Gerald (16).
