Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

2011-12: (Indoor) Ran the mile twice, earning a season-best finish of 13th at the KSU Invitational with a mark of 5:23.44 . . . (Outdoor) Saw action in four meets . . . season-best finish came with a career-best mark of 4:54.36 in the 1,500 meters at the John Jacobs Invitational . . . placed 15th in the 800 meters at the Track-It Buster Invitational (2:19.85).
2010-11: (Indoor) Participated in the mile at both the KSU Invitational and the J.D. Martin Invitational, finishing 10th in both events . . . ran a season-best mile of 5:27.70 at the KSU Invite . . . (Outdoor) Did not compete.
2009-10: Did not compete in any events.
2008-09: Redshirted.
High School: Earned two letters in track and field and two letters in cross country at Byng High School as a freshman and sophomore. . . earned all-state honors both years . . . finished eighth in state cross country competition during her freshman season . . . finished third in the state cross country meet as a sophomore . . . set a personal-best in the mile with a time of 5:38 at the state meet during her sophomore season in 2006 . . . ran a personal-best of 11:46 in the two-mile run during 2006 state regionals . . . transferred to the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics for her junior and senior years . . . did not participate in track and field as a junior or senior.
Personal: Majoring in economics and environmental policy . . . enjoys acting, dancing, rock climbing and horseback riding . . . craziest ambition is to run in the Olympic Trials . . . has one sister, Zadora, who also attends The University of Tulsa . . . daughter of Sharrod and Sonia Hightower.
In seven years as a member of Conference USA, Tulsa athletic teams have won a league-best 42 conference championships.
