Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

2011-12: (Indoor) Did not compete . . . (Outdoor) Ran the 1,500 meters at six different meets . . . improved her time in all six races, concluding with a seventh-place effort at the Conference USA Championship . . . finished third in the event at the John Jacobs Invitational (4:47.42).

2010-11: (Indoor) In her first season at TU, Hughes was named to the All-Conference Second Team after she anchored the Distance Medley Relay team to a second-place finish at the Conference USA Championship with a time of 11:55.98 . . . finished fourth in the mile at the C-USA Championship with a personal-best mark of 4:57.29 . . . the mark was also the fourth-fastest time in school history . . . ran in four meets . . . (Outdoor) Competed in five meets . . . finished eighth in the 1,500m at the Conference USA Championship with a personal best of 4:29.55 . . . ran a personal best of 2:15.59 in the 800m at the Tulsa Duels.

Prior to Tulsa: Attended Universite de Sherbrooke for three semesters . . . ran a personal-best of 4:34 in the 1,500 meters and finished 11th at the Canadian Jr. Cross Country Championships in 2009.
