Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.
The Golden Hurricane Club, as the primary fundraising arm of TU Athletics, works to provide every TU student-athlete with the opportunity to realize a world-class athletic and academic experience.
2011-12: (Indoor) Was part of the Distance Medley Relay team that captured the gold medal at the Conference USA Championship in 9:57.44, earning him a spot on the all-C-USA First Team . . . finished 12th in the 300m at the KSU Invitational (37.27) . . . 4x400m relay team placed 10th at the Tyson Invitational in 3:14.83, which was the third-best mark in school history . . . (Outdoor) Finished third at the league meet in the 4x400m relay with a school-record time of 3:10.69 . . . named to the all-C-USA Third Team . . . placed eighth at the C-USA Championship in the 4x100m with a mark of 43.86 . . . season-best mark of 49.79 in the 400m dash came in the prelims of the league meet, where he finished 16th.
2010-11: (Indoor) Placed 10th in the 600 yards at the KSU Invitational with a time of 1:18.94 . . . was the anchor of the 4x400m relay team that finished fifth at the Fazoli/Baymont Invitational in a time of 3:25.99 . . . (Outdoor) Finished ninth in the 800m at the Tulsa Duels with a time of 2:04.83.
High School: Lettered all four years in track and field at Houston Christian Academy . . . high school team won the 5A Topps Regional Championship his freshman and sophomore years . . . 4x400 relay team finished second at state his sophomore and junior years, and finished fourth his freshman year . . . made the state cross country championships his senior year . . . played football for three years and earned two letters.
Personal: Majoring in mechanical engineering . . . son of John and Vickie Jameson . . . has one older sister, Kimberly.
In seven years as a member of Conference USA, Tulsa athletic teams have won a league-best 42 conference championships.
