MANHATTAN, Kan. - The University of Tulsa track and field team won three events at the Wildcat Invitational on Saturday.

On the women's side, Rachel Baptista won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:00.15, followed by Janessa Dunn, who finished second with time of 10:14.37.

On the men's side, sophomore Jake McDonnell won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.30, followed by junior Aaron Thornburg, who finished second with a time of 1:59.10.

Senior Emmett Cookson won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:45.22, followed by freshman Nick Criser, who finished third with a time of 8:55.18 and Kirk Smith, who finished with a time of 9:00.91.

Freshman Otugo Ananaba set a personal-best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.93 seconds, while freshman Paul Akintade also set a personal-best with a time of 7.20 seconds and finished ninth. Freshman Andre Brown finished 10th with a time of 7.26 and senior Andrew Jameson finished 12th with a time of 7.36.

Freshman Elijah Silva led TU in the 600-yard run with a fourth place finish with a time of 1:13.43, followed by David Anderson, who finished fifth with a time of 1:17.56.

Sophomore Simon Greiner led TU with a second-place finish in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:24.86, which is the second fastest time in school history, followed by junior Danny Thater, who finished fourth with a time of 2:28.40.

Senior Brian Tabb recorded a fourth place finish in the one-mile run with a time of 4:14.99, while junior Colt Johnson finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.76 seconds. Johnson also finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 8.74 meters and eighth in the long jump with a jump of 6.07 meters.

Akintade led TU in the long jump with a jump of 6.41 meters, followed by sophomore Bryce Robinson with a jump of 6.09 meters and Brown with a 5.95-meter jump.

Freshman Austin Hostetler record a 1.81-meter long jump and finished seventh, while TU finished second, fourth and fifth in the relay. TU's relay team of Jameson, Robinson, Silva and sophomore Isaac Sanders finished second with a time of 3:19.01, while Brown, Ananaba, Akintade and Johnson finished fourth with a time of 3:26.43 and Anderson, Tabb, Greiner and Thornburg finished fifth with a time of 3:32.72.

On the women's side, senior Audrey Jean-Baptiste finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.81 seconds, while freshman Roos-Sanne Claassen finished fifth with a time of 8.10 seconds. Freshman Cydney Fogle finished eighth with a time of 8.22 seconds, followed by Alex Lyons, who finished ninth with a time of 8.41 seconds.

Sophomore Olivia O'Hare finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.49, followed by Katie Killeen, who finished fifth with a time of 2:26.31.

Junior Brandi Kreig led TU in the 1,000-meter run with a third place finish with a time of 2:54.48, followed by junior Natasha Cockram, who finished seventh with a time of 3:00.36.

Sophomore Emily Dunn finished fourth in the one-mile run with a time of 5:04.15, followed by freshman Clara Langley, who finished with a time of 5:13.20.

Freshman Elizabeth Lothamer finished eighth with a time of 9.56 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, sixth in the long jump with a 4.51-meter jump and fifth in the shot put with a throw of 8.97 meters.

The Golden Hurricane finished second and sixth in the 4x400 relay. TU's relay team of senior Katherine Camp, Claassen, Lyons and Jean-Baptiste finished second with a time of 3:46.13 and the relay team of Fogle, Lothamer, O'Hare and Cockram finished sixth with a time of 4:13.30.

The Golden Hurricane takes a weekend off before heading to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Razorback Invite from Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
