The Tulsa track and field teams saw three school records fall on the first day of February as the sprinters took their talents to the Frank Sevigne Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., while the rest of the team went to compete at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind.

Frank Sevigne Invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Freshman Bryce Robinson, in only his second meet for the Tulsa track and field team, ran the 60-meter dash in 6.61 tonight to tie the NCAA Division I lead during the 2013 season at the Frank Sevigne Invitational at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Robinson, a former Edmond Memorial track and field star, won the qualifying round of the 60-meter dash shattering his school record of 6.73 set only two weeks ago at the Wildcat Invitational. Robinson's time tonight of 6.61 bested the time of Andrew Riley, who placed second in 60-meter dash at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Robinson also set a school record in the 200-meter dash en route to qualifying for the finals, as he crossed the line in 21.32, good for the fifth-best performance of the day.

Freshman John Teeters placed 17th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.86, which is the fifth fastest time in school history.

Senior Julian Frazier finished second during the qualifying round of the 400-meter dash clocking in at 47.89

Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior Sarah Macpherson won the 1,000-meters race in a school-record time during the first day of the Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame, on Friday at the Loftus Sports Center.

Macpherson crossed the line in 2:50.74, which broke Melanie Harding’s record of 2:51.21 set in 2005. Senior Melanie Hughes finished in 10th place in 2:53.40, while junior Lauren Collete was 12th in 2:53.48.

On the men’s side, junior Brian Tabb was 11th in the 1,000-meters finishing in 2:28.22.
