FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -

Chris O’Hare broke the school record in the 800-meter run while Erin Huddleston and Sarah Macpherson finished first and second in the invitational mile during the first day of the Tyson Invitational on Friday.

O’Hare broke his own school record clocking in at 1:48.28 to finish second in the invitational heat of the 800.

Huddleston’s time of 4:49.01 marks the third-fastest time in school history, while Macpherson clocked in at 4:49.04 to claim second.

Freshman Bryce Robinson was sixth in the 60-meter dash finals, featuring some of the top sprinters in the nation. After clocking a time of 6.61 last weekend, Robinson recorded times of 6.69 in the prelims, 6.62 in the semifinals and 6.69 in the finals. Freshman John Teeters was 25th, just missing out of the semifinals, with a time of 6.87.

Senior Julian Frazier claimed ninth-place in the 400-meter dash crossing the line in 47.62

In the Olympic development heat of the 800, freshman Simon Greiner was seventh in 1:52.15.

On the women’s side, Brandi Krieg was third in the college mile run in 5:00.76, while Lauren Collete was seventh in the 800-meter run clocking in at 2:14.00.

Done Vermaak was eighth in the Olympic development round of the 800-meter run in 2:14.74.

The Golden Hurricane will wrap up action at the Tyson Invitational tomorrow, as the meet will get underway at 11 a.m. For live scoring, click here.
