Fayetteville, Ark. - Senior Dawn Nagazina and sophomore Jennifer Mace both set provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA Indoor Championships to highlight Tulsa's first day of competition on Friday at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.

Nagazina finished fifth in the Olympic Development 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:08.77, and Mace placed seventh in the 400 meters with a personal-best mark of 54.33 to provisionally qualify them for the NCAA Indoors. Mace and Nagazina join Mark Davidson as the three Tulsa athletes so far this season to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 13-14 in College Station, Texas.

As a team, Tulsa turned in three top-10 performances on the first day of action at the Tyson Invitational with sophomore Kelsey Klein finishing ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.69 meters (54-09.25).

The men's squad was led by sophomore Justin Duncan's 13th-place finish in the mile (4:13.25), and junior Attila Korosi's 20th-place mark of 48.14 in the 400 meters.

The Tyson Invitational concludes on Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
