Tulsa Track & Field Records Three First-Place Finishes at Sooner Open

NORMAN, Okla. - The Tulsa track and field teams posted three first-place finishes in its final tune-up for the C-USA Indoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday at the Sooner Open in Norman, Okla.
Junior Ashley Wills finished first in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 24.74, and tied for sixth place in the 60 meters with a personal record of 7.66. Her time in the 60m is the fourth-fastest time in school history.
Senior Lana Kelley captured first place in the mile-run with a season-best mark of 5:03.60. Freshman Carolin Imhof turned in a personal-best time of 8.86 in the 60-meter hurdles to finish sixth overall, and move into third place on the school's all-time records list.
Junior Kelsey Klein finished fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.94m (52-03.75) to round out the top finishes for the women's squad.
The Golden Hurricane is back in action next weekend Feb. 26-27 at the Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championship in Houston, Texas.
