BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior Katherine Camp won the 800-meter run final round with a time of 2:09.75 in day two of the Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, while the University of Tulsa men's track and field team finished in fifth place with 67 points and the women's track and field team finished in 11th place with 30 points during the two-day meet.

Camp ran the fastest 800-meter run in the preliminary round on Friday with a personal-best time of 2:07.49, which is the second fastest time in school history.

On the men's side, junior Colt Johnson finished the heptathlon on Saturday morning with 4,005 points, which is the fifth most in school history. Johnson finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.72 seconds and seventh in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:53.44.

On Friday, Johnson finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.26 seconds, sixth with a long jump of 6.49 meters (21-3.5), 14th in the shot put with a throw of 9.43 meters (30-11.25) and 13th in the high jump with a jump of 1.68 meters (5-6.00).

Sophomore Alex Lybarger finished fourth in the weight throw with a throw of 16.63 meters (54-6.75). On Friday, Lybarger threw a personal-best of 15.96 meters (52-45.0), which is the second farthest throw in school history, while freshman Jake Hanks finished ninth with a shot put throw of 14.48 meters (47-6.25).

Freshman Elijah Silva finished second in the 800-meter run final round with a time of 1:51.86, while sophomore Simon Greiner finished third with a time of 1:52.36. On Friday, Silva won his heat to qualify for the final round with a time of 1:53.97, while Greiner finished second in his heat with a time of 1:51.24 to qualify for the final round.

Senior Danny Thater led TU in the 3,000-meter run with a third place finish and a time of 8:23.58, while senior Emmett Cookson finished in fourth place with a time of 8:24.27 and freshman Adam Roderique finished 15th with a time of 8:41.46.

Tulsa's 4x400-meter relay of Isaac Sanders, Andrew Jameson, Outgo Ananaba and Silva finished seventh with a time of 3:16.68.

On the women's' side, senior Audrey Jean-Baptiste finished seventh in the 400-meter dash final round with a time of 57.64 seconds. Jean-Baptiste won her heat on Friday with a time of 55.79 seconds to qualify for the final round.

Sophomore Emily Dunn led TU in the 3,000-meter run with a fifth place finish and a time of 9:48.10, while junior Natasha Cockram finished 11th with a time of 9:54.54, sophomore Janessa Dunn finished 13th with a time of 9:59.34 and freshman Clara Langley finished 14th with a time of 10:04.07.

Sophomore Olivia O'Hare finished seventh in the one-mile race with a time of 4:59.85, while Tulsa's 4x400-meter relay team of Roos-Sanne Claassen, Jean-Baptiste, Camp and Alex Lyons finished ninth with a time of 3:47.98.

The Golden Hurricane finishes the indoor track and field season at the NCAA Championships in Albuquerque N.M. from March 14-15.
