Robinson Sets Two School Records at the John McDonnell Invitational Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Sophomore Bryce Robinson of the University of Tulsa track and field team, set two school records and won both events with a time of 10.15 in the 100-meter dash and a time of 20.30 in the 200-meter dash at the John McDonnell Invitational on Saturday at John McDonnell Field.
The previous best in the 100-meter dash was 10.32 set by Levi Gillen in 1994 and in the 200-meter dash was 21.0 set by Larry Heame set in 1966.
On the men's side, senior Julian Frazier finished ninth in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 21.42, while freshman Otugo Ananaba finished 12th with a personal-best time of 21.84 and senior Andrew Jameson finished 14th with a time of 22.15.
Freshman Adam Roderique's finished second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:57.84, 0.06 seconds behind first, while freshman Jake McDonnell finished fifth with a personal-best time of 9:00.79 and freshman Kirk Smith finished with a personal-best time of 9:16.14.
Junior Colt Johnson finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.74 and finished fifth in the shot put with a personal-best distance of 9.65 meters (31-8).
Sophomore Alex Lybarger finished third in the shot put with a personal-best distance of 16.92 meters (55-6.25), which is the second longest throw in school history. Lybarger also finished third in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.63 meters (179-2).
Tulsa's 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore Isaac Sanders, Frazier, Jameson and Ananaba, finished third with a time of 3:18.57.
On the women's side, freshman Roos-Sanne Claassen led TU with a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:02.27, which is the fifth fastest time in school history. Freshman Cydney Fogle finished fourth with a time of 1:05.82 and freshman Kendall Cox finished sixth with a personal-best time of 1:06.81
Freshman Lauren Thomas finished sixth in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of 12.31 seconds, while junior Hartly Carlisle finished fifth in the discus throw with a distance of 44.75 meters (146-10), which is the fourth longest throw in school history.
Senior Audrey Jean-Baptiste and sophomore Alex Lyons both competed in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. Jean-Baptiste finished fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.89 seconds and finished seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 56.11 seconds. Lyons finished eighth in the 200 meters personal-best time of 26.17 seconds and finished 12th with a time of 59.88 seconds.
Junior Brandi Kreig led Tulsa with a sixth-place finish with a personal-best time of 4:36.92, while sophomore Olivia Lopez finished ninth with a time of 4:45.41, freshman Clara Langley finished 10th with time of 4:45.84, sophomore Olivia O'Hare finished 11th with a time of 4:47.56, junior Natasha Cockram finished 14th with a time of 4:51.78 and freshman Katie Killeen finished 15th with a time of 5:01.99.
Freshman Elizabeth Lothamer finished second in the shot put with a distance of 8.68 meters (28-5.75) and finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.73 seconds.
The Golden Hurricane splits next weekend with Mt. SAC Relays from April 17-19 in Walnut, Calif., and Michael Johnson Classic on April 19 in Waco, Texas.
