PALO ALTO, Calif. - Junior All-American Chris O'Hare recorded the second fastest collegiate 1,500-meter run of 2012 Sunday night at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field on the campus of Stanford University.

O'Hare was running in the fastest of three heats alongside Olympians and other top collegiates, and he was able to post an Olympic `B' standard mark of 3:37.95.

He finished ninth in a field of 36 runners. The only collegiate runner to top his mark was Lawi Lalang of Arizona at 3:36.77.

Coming into O'Hare's race, the fastest time recorded this season in the 1,500 meters was 3:40.25 by Paul Chelimo of UNC-Greensboro.
