Camp Sets a School-Record in the 800-Meter Run at Payton Jordan Invitational Sunday

STANFORD, Calif. - Senior Katherine Camp broke her own school record and ran a 2:04.49 in the 800-meter run at the Payton Jordan Invitational on Sunday to win heat No. 4 by over a second.
Camp's previous best was 2:05.21, which she set in the Michael Johnson Classic in Waco, Texas on Saturday, April 19.
On the men's side, junior Danny Thater finished fourth with a personal-best time of 14:03.97 in the 5,000-meter run in heat No. 4, which is the third fastest time in school history.
Freshman Elijah Silva completed his second meet of the weekend finishing third in the 800-meter run in heat No. 5 with a time of 1:51.42.
The Golden Hurricane takes a week off before traveling to Houston, Texas for the Conference USA Championships from May 15-18.
