NEW ORLEANS, La. - The University of Tulsa track and field teams completed competition on the first day of the 2012 Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Tad Gormley Stadium.

The men sit in second place with 15 points through two scored events behind first-place UTEP (25), while the TU women are in seventh with six points.

"We left some points on the table on the guys side today, but we hope we can make it up over the next two days," Tulsa Head Coach Steve Gulley said. "The multi's are going solid at this point, and we're looking for them to keep it going tomorrow."
