NCAA Midwest Regional Day 2 Results

Lincoln, Neb. - University of Tulsa's track and field athlete Mark Davidson finished in fifth-place in the 1,500m to qualify for the NCAA Championships on the second and last day of the NCAA Midwest Regional at Ed Weir Stadium on the University of Nebraska campus in Lincoln, Neb. The NCAA Championships hosted by Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, will take place June 11-14.

Red-shirt freshman Davidson finished fifth with a time of 3:43.89, the second-fastest time in TU history in the 1,500m. Davidson will be Tulsa's only representative at the 2008 NCAA Championships.

Junior April Montgomery placed eighth in the 400m hurdles final with a time of 1:02.04.

Senior Katy McGillen finished 16th in the women's javelin with a throw of 44.94m (147-05). McGillen ends her TU career as the javelin record holder (159-01), while also holding the third-best high jump in school history (5-3).
