IRVING, Texas - Sophomore sprinter Bryce Robinson was named Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the league on Tuesday morning.

Robinson broke his own indoor school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.94 seconds, which ranks second in the NCAA. His previous best was 21.19 seconds that he set in the C-USA Championships last season.

The Edmond, Okla., native finished first in the 60-meter dash preliminary round with a time of 6.72 seconds, which ranks tied for 10th in the NCAA.

This is his first indoor weekly award this season and second career indoor weekly award as he was named on Feb. 5, 2013.

The Golden Hurricane returns to action on Saturday for the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.
