O'Hare Qualifies for the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Great Britain - Former University of Tulsa cross country and track and field runner, Chris O'Hare qualify for the 2014 International Amateur Athletic Federation World Indoor Track and Field Championships from March 7-9 in Sopot, Poland.
"We are happy for Chris because he puts a lot of pressure on himself to represent his country," head coach Steve Gulley said. "It's always been a priority, even at Tulsa, how proud he would be if he could go back and represent his country. We are extremely happy for him. We are excited that he's getting this kind of experience"
O'Hare is one of two runners on the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team that will be running in the 1,500-meter run at the world indoor championships.
The 1,500-meter heats run is scheduled for March 7 at 7:35 a.m. CT, while the 1,500-meter final round is scheduled on March 8 at 3 p.m. CT.
The Edinburgh, Scotland native ran well in the NYRR Millrose Games last weekend as he finished fifth in the Wanamaker Mile with a time of 3:54.66.
