TULSA, Okla. -

Today's "Hurricane Spotlight" features Tulsa women's track and field runner senior Katherine Camp.

Camp has won the Conference USA Indoor 800-meter run and C-USA Outdoor 800 meters the last two seasons.

The Hamilton, New Zealand native, has posted a school-record time of 2:04.49 in the 800 meter run at the Payton Jordan Classic on May 4 to win heat No. 4. Her time is tied for the ninth fastest time in the west regional this season and the 15th fastest time overall to qualify for the NCAA West Regional this weekend.

The Golden Hurricane qualified for seven events for the NCAA West Regional in Fayetteville, Ark., from May 28-31. The top-12 times in each event advances the NCAA Championships from June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.
