Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa senior Chris O'Hare has been chosen to represent Great Britain at the 2013 IAAF World Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Moscow, Russia, the week of August 10-18, it was announced today.

O'Hare captured the Gold Medal in the 1,500 meter run at the British Athletics Championships in Birmingham, England this past Saturday. O'Hare crossed the finish line in a time of 3:51.36 for the victory.

Another TU runner, Adam Palamar, representing the Ottawa Lions Track & Field Club, ran a time of 3:51.04 to win the 1,500 meters at the 2013 Canadian Jr. Track & Field Championships at Ste-Teresa, Quebec, over the weekend. The Tulsa sophomore-to-be is the Canadian Jr. record-holder in the 1,500m with a time of 3:38.92, which he ran two weeks earlier at a Canadian Qualifying Meet.
