Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.
The Golden Hurricane Club, as the primary fundraising arm of TU Athletics, works to provide every TU student-athlete with the opportunity to realize a world-class athletic and academic experience.
JUNIOR (2011): Competed in two meets for the Golden Hurricane . . . finished seventh at the Oral Roberts Duel with a two-mile time of 12:05.22 . . . placed 32nd at the Conference USA Championship in a 5K mark of 18:32.5.
SOPHOMORE (2010): Was a mainstay in TU's lineup, as she was one of just two members of the Golden Hurricane to compete in all seven events . . . was part of the first women's team in school history to run at the NCAA Championships . . . finished 248th and posted a 6K time of 23:51.6 at Nationals . . . ran a personal-best time of 18:04 in the 5K at the C-USA Championship, helping lead the Golden Hurricane to a conference title with her 33rd-place finish . . . ran her personal best 6K time of 22:05.03 at the NCAA Midwest Regional . . . posted her career-best 2 mile time of 11:42 at the Hurricane Festival, finishing 16th . . . finished 28th at the Missouri Stampede and and also competed in the Notre Dame Invitational and the Chile Pepper Festival.
FRESHMAN (2009): Had top-15 finishes at both the Hurricane Festival (12th) and the Missouri State Classic (14th) . . . finished 56th at the C-USA Championship and placed in the top 100 in both the Cowboy Jamboree (82nd) and the NCAA Midwest Regional (93rd) . . . also ran in Pre-Nationals.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner in track and cross country at Branson High School . . . was a four-time all-state cross country performer . . . a six-time all-state track selection . . . earned Class 3A all-state honors in the 800m as a junior . . . an all-state selection in the 3,200m as a sophomore and junior . . . an all-state runner in the 1,600m as a freshman, sophomore and junior . . . set personal-bests of 18:45 in the 5K (cross country), 2:16 in the 800m, 5:07 in the 1,600m and 11:07 in the 3,200m.
PERSONAL: Majoring in exercise science . . . enjoys watching the Food Network . . . most memorable place she has visited is Israel . . . her biggest sports thrill was winning the 3,200m state championship as a sophomore . . . has two brothers, Corey and Bryce, and a sister, Kaitlyn . . . daughter of Tim and Teresa Huddleston . . . born February 6, 1991.
In seven years as a member of Conference USA, Tulsa athletic teams have won a league-best 42 conference championships.
