Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.
The Golden Hurricane Club, as the primary fundraising arm of TU Athletics, works to provide every TU student-athlete with the opportunity to realize a world-class athletic and academic experience.
JUNIOR (2011): Participated in five meets . . . finished 11th at the Conference USA Championship with a season-best 5K of 17:37.0 . . . named to the all-C-USA Second Team . . . placed 40th at the NCAA Midwest Regional (22:11.86) . . . ran at the OSU Jamboree (18:25.27) and NCAA Pre-Nationals (22:22) . . . finished sixth at the two-mile with a PR of 11:03.
SOPHOMORE (2010): Competed in six of seven events, helping lead Tulsa to a Conference USA Championship . . . was a member of the first women's team in school history to compete at the NCAA Championships . . . ran personal bests in all three distances during the season . . . finished 11th at the C-USA Championship and was named to the all-C-USA Second Team with a personal-best 5K time of 17:11 . . . posted a 6K time of 22:25.0 and finished 210th at the NCAA Championships . . . ran a personal-best 6K time of 21:12.20 at the NCAA Midwest Regional and finished 39th . . . finished fifth overall at the Missouri Stampede . . . ran a personal-best 2 mile of 11:16 and finished seventh overall in the Hurricane Festival . . . helped the overall team score (top-five team finish) in all six events.
FRESHMAN (2009): Was named to the Conference USA all-Third Team . . . started the season with a fifth-place finish at the Hurricane Festival . . . followed the performance with a seventh-place outing at the Missouri State Classic . . . was second on the Tulsa squad in all but one meet . . . placed 15th at the C-USA Championship and 25th at the Cowboy Jamboree.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner in track and cross country at Simcoe Composite School . . . was also a three-year letterwinner in soccer . . . a four-time cross country team MVP . . . was part of county championship track and field team as a freshman and sophomore . . . was the provincial indoor 1,500m champion and outdoor 3,000m champion as a senior . . . a provincial silver medalist in the 3,000m and bronze medalist in the 1,500m as a junior . . . set personal-bests in the 1,500m with a time of 4:43.01 and the 3,000m with a mark of 10:00.89.
PERSONAL: Majoring in biochemistry . . . favorite track athlete is Usain Bolt . . . favorite food is Thai . . . most memorable place she has visited is Switzerland . . . has two younger siblings, Nicole and Thomas . . . daughter of Faron and Vicki Rollins . . . born September 19, 1991.
