Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

JUNIOR (2011): Ran in four events . . . helped lead Tulsa to a Conference USA Championship for the second-straight year, finishing 17th at the league meet with an 8K time of 24:55.0 . . . earned a spot on the all-C-USA Third Team . . . placed 65th at the OSU Jamboree (25:16.47) and 98th at NCAA Pre-Nationals (25:43) . . . finished seventh at the Houston Duel with a career-best four mile of 19:41.
SOPHOMORE (2010): Participated in five events and came on strong for Tulsa late in the season . . . posted a career-best 8K time of 24:20 to help TU claim the Conference USA Championship . . . finished 11th overall at the conference championship and was named to the all-C-USA Second Team . . . finished 51st overall and sixth on the team at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a personal-best 10K time of 31:18.55 . . . posted a 12th-place finish at the Hurricane Festival with a career-best 4 mile time of 20:17 . . . factored in the overall team score (top five team finish) in two events, while finishing sixth twice . . . paced Tulsa with a 41st-place finish at the Missouri Stampede . . . was second for TU at the Chile Pepper Festival.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2009): Ran in three events . . . posted a season-best time of 25:41 in the 8K at the Missouri State Classic . . . finished in third overall and tops on the team at the MSC . . . finished 22nd at the C-USA Championship and 24th at the Hurricane Festival.
FRESHMAN (2008): Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner in track and field and cross country at Broken Arrow High School . . . named all-state three times in cross country . . . finished fourth at the state cross country meet as a senior . . . . ran the 5K course at the Missouri Southern cross country meet in 15:40 . . . state medalist in the 1600m as a junior with a time of 4:24 . . . high school coach was Shane Messinger.
PERSONAL: Majoring in psychology . . . was one of his senior class's valedictorians . . . member of the National Honor Society . . . son of Michael and Cathy Johnson . . . has four siblings - Megan, Maddie and Adam . . . younger brother Adam is a freshman on the TU cross country and track teams . . . born June 17, 1990.
