Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2011): Competed in four events . . . posted a season-best four-mile at the Houston Duel to finish 16th (20:35) . . . placed 12th at the Hurricane Festival (21:09) . . . finished 130th at the OSU Jamboree with a season-best 8K of 26:18.08 . . . ran a 26:36 at NCAA Pre-Nationals to place 190th.

FRESHMAN (2010): Did not compete in his first year with the Golden Hurricane.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered all four years in cross country at Round Rock High School . . . also earned three letters in track and field . . . was a team captain and was named all-district his senior year . . . ran a personal-best 15:47 in the 5K and recorded a time of 4:17.5 in the 1,600 meters.
