TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa cross country teams open the 2012 season when they play host to the Hurricane Cross Country Festival at 8 a.m. Saturday at Mohawk Park.

The men's four-mile race begins at 8 a.m., followed by the women's two-mile race at 8:35 a.m. The high school portion of the meet begins at 9:10 a.m., while the junior high run starts at 10:30 a.m.

The Golden Hurricane men, ranked No. 20 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Preseason Poll, will run against No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 4 Oklahoma, Northwestern State, John Brown University and Oklahoma Wesleyan.

 

 

The Hurricane women's squad runs against No. 24 Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Missouri State, Northwestern State, John Brown University and Oklahoma Wesleyan.
